Zab Judah.....

What can you say about Zab? He is fast? He is strong? What?
I like Zab because I think he is strong and fast and, let's not forget he was world welterweight champion. Having said that, I think he is presently a mediocre version of his former self. When Zab fights, you want to watch because he is a likable guy. You like the cocky swagger and it is more entertaining because you know how mediocre he is...at the same time you know he could shine because he has demonstrated on quite a few dudes as well. He has the tools..
I watched the fight between Zab Judah and Miguel Cotto, last night. I didn't really care who won, but I was leaning toward Zab, although, you know Zab. Zab always has a nice swag a bout him but I think that hurts him in the ring sometimes. It seems that when he does his, very elusive, bob-n-weave, he loses the opponents' counter punches and he gets touched up. Now Zab is known to hit the canvas a few times so his jaw is suspect, so to speak! Zab was hit with a few low blows and he dramatized each instance to get full effect and some rest. He threw some good punches and his speed scored him a few points and he even got a knock down....I think, but in the end....his suspect jaw caught one of those counter punches he lost visual on and to the canvas he went. Just like Zab, and why you will always watch him fight, he got up, only to be beaten just enough for the ref to step in.
Zab has become a mediocre boxer and is in danger of being demoted. He does not win the big fights. I will always watch, though, because he has the tools and he is sooo fast, plus you got to love the swag!

Judah is definitely fading. He had a weak chin to begin with so i don't think he will really succeed in boxing for a long period of time. Cotto is also a tremendous fighter so Judah had little cahnce of winning.
