Don't Forget About New Jersey

It is the summer time and many families take their vacations because the weather is warm, the kids are out of school and summer time has such a nostalgia when you think of great vacations. I have lived on the east coast of the United States for all of my life and I always enjoyed traveling to New Jersey to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It seems that now days the family vacation road trip is not the 'in' thing, but I always tell people that there are so many places in the continental Untied States that are awesome  vacation destinations. Instead of going to Cancun or some other destination outside the country, save some money and spend your vacation on American soil.

New Jersey is within driving distance of anywhere in the upper half of the east coast and is an easy plane ride  from everywhere else. New Jersey is more than mobsters and 'Jersey Shore'. There is a rich culture and there are plenty of attractions for vacationers of all ages. If your were there today you could have taken in some good music at The New Brunswick Jazz Project or seen Motown recording artist, Kem. There are plenty of museums and galleries including the Center for Latino Arts and Culture at Rutgers University - New Brunswick, Through the Moongate - Highland Park, Rutgers Geology Museum - New Brunswick and many others.

If your not the concert or museum type, there is plenty for you too. There are several historical sites and tours that you can experience. There is the Bill of Rights Arch Public Square - Perth Amboy, which is a great place to take the kids for a Revolutionary War lesson. The kids will also love all the parks and recreation areas that are in central New Jersey. There is about 7000 acres of park area! The parks are equiped to accomidate all your outdoor activities. Boat ramps, soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, picnic groves, playgrounds, ponds, tracks and paths for walking/running/biking, street and roller hockey rinks, football fields, bocce courts, performance and observation gazebos, theaters, handball courts and cricket pitches can all be found in the various parks throughout central New Jersey. If that is not enough you have the perinail favorites like Six Flags - Jackson and Crystal Springs Water Park - East Brunswick. These two destination are a definite win with the kids. There are many places to shop as well, if that's your thing.

Take some time to check out New Jersey for your next great family vacation or even that weekend getaway with that special someone.

LAST MINUTE BLUES

Thanks to Wm Rowe
I had a deadline yesterday for a project that I have been working on for a long time. Unfortunately, like I usually do, I put it off until the last minute. I am really bad about waiting until the last minute to get things done. Somehow, I have convinced myself that I work better under pressure. I know that it can’t be good for my health because I get really flustered and anxious when I don’t have things done on time. Well yesterday, I hit myself with a double whammy and sent myself into some serious stress. While I was working on my computer, I decided that I was going to take a five minute break and log onto http://www.giveadish.com/ and check out the new television packages that were available. My husband and I have been considering upgrading for a while. I was trying to load the page and something was wrong with the internet. All of the sudden my computer froze and wouldn’t respond to anything. It took me forever to even get it to restart. I was terrified when I realized that half of what I had written for the report, hadn’t been saved. I was forced to stay up all night to finish the report. I will never let that happen again!

Smart Investing

Investing can be a confusing thing to do for a lot of people. There are so many different investment types, tools and companies to invest in. The recent troubles that our economy has experienced, has caused many people to become more skeptical about investing their hard earned money. This is very understandable, but I always encourage people to stick with their investing, even if they have to lessen the amount that they invest. Historically, investments in industry will grow over time.

I don’t claim to be an investment adviser, but I do some investing and I try to use common-sense to guide my investment. We often look at brands or companies we are familiar with, to invest in, but what about what I call ‘basic’ industry sectors like the chemicals, materials and related sectors. The industries are often solid bets because they make the materials that all these other companies need to create the goods and services that we love, as consumers. The problem with investing in this sector is the companies are not as easily identifiable. The nature of their business is ‘behind the scenes’.

To help identify some of these companies, and get some guidance on investing in chemicals or related sectors, consult with a chemical investment banking firm. An investment banking firm that specializes in chemicals, materials and related sectors, can give you insight on strong companies to invest in and how much you should invest. These type of investment companies, often oversee chemical mergers and acquisitions, which gives them an expert understanding of the chemical sector, the current trends, legislative influences and much more, detailed information.

Pregnancy emails

Guest post of the week by Deangelo Spencer

My husband and I are thrilled that we are expecting our first baby this summer. We recently saw an ad for some Wild Blue Deals, so we decided to get satellite internet. I am so glad we did because I have wanted to sign up for some kind of pregnancy newsletter via email. A friend of mine told me about the one she subscribed to and I decided to subscribe to the same one. It gives me weekly updates on my pregnancy. Each week it compares the baby’s size to a type of fruit. It also gives examples of the types of feelings you may be experience each week. For example, it told me around week 15 that I should start to feel the baby move, although I did not feel any flutters until week 17 or 18. I like knowing what to expect before I experience it. Sometimes it does worry me though when I do not experience things within the same time frame that the emails describe. However, I know that every pregnancy is different and I have to remember that when reading these emails.

Dress for the Job

Safety is a monumential deal. It has been a big deal but in a today's times, safety is heavily emphasized in your home lives as well as at your place of business. Many hospital, experimental and technology jobs require that people are exposed to possibly, harmful chemicals or pathogens. It is important that professionals that are susceptible to these kind of potentially harmful circumstances, are properly dressed and outfitted with the proper safety gear. Scrubs are designed to be simple with very little places for dirt to hide, easy to clean, and easy to replace if messed up or stained irreparably. Most are all cotton scrubs

Scrubs are often ignored when you think of safety. Though scrubs are usually light weight and are not made of any high-tech material, they are the most appropriate uniform for safety, when working in technological or medical environments.

Though scrubs come in multiple styles ( http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs/ ), they are light weight so they allow air exchange helping to reduce user perspiration and possible contamination of specimens or materials. Scrubs are usually non-complex, two-piece designs. The lack of buttons, zippers, belts and other fasteners help to stop accidents caused by clothing getting snagged on to equipment that can cause harmful spills and/or injury. Scrubs are often brightly colored and this helps to reveal when substances may have compromised the scrubs causing them to need to be changed.

There are multiple variations of scrubs. They have scrubs for special situations, vividly printed scrubs and many other variations. They have scrubs that will satisfy just about any one's taste in color, design and print. If your a professional that wears scrubs, visit a scrubs store and browse the various types of scrubs available. You can find cheap medical scrubs so there is no excuse to be without.
